FAQ
Atelier Convallaria's designs are handmade and not mass produced.
There may be slight variations and unique imperfections, however this ensures each design is one-of-a-kind or in very limited edition. Color may vary slightly to what appears on-screen.
ABOUT VINTAGE MATERIALS
Most of the designs are crafted using raw brass, vintage components (upcycled jewellery, charms, beads and buttons), semi-precious stones and unusual findings.
The vintage or antique parts are cleaned and restored as best as possible, however, for some there may be noticeable scratches, dents, dirt, fading, or cracks. These add to the character of each design.
Our brass is lead and nickel free. Patina is a characteristic of brass and may look like discoloration, hence the slight color irregularities upon a closer look.
*All ear wires used are new and are indicated in product description as either gold-plated, vermeil, goldfilled or sterling (925) silver. Earrings are cleaned with alcohol swabs after modelling photos.
JEWELLERY CARE
Due to the delicate nature of handmade jewelry and the use of vintage materials and natural stones, our pieces are fragile and should be handled with care.
- Please avoid showering, bathing or swimming while wearing your jewellery.
- Avoid mixing with moisture and sweat.
- Wear jewellery after applying skincare, makeup and perfume.
- Keep away from chemicals as this may discolour them.
- Store in a dry environment or in a box to prevent oxidation and tarnish.
All metal will naturally tarnish. To remove tarnish, use a polishing cream or jewellery cleaning cloth over the surface.
REPAIRS
Repair costs are dependent upon the type of the repair needed. We may not be able to repair if components needed to repair or replace them are unavailable. Please contact us at Atelier.Convallaria@gmail.com with your order number and attach the photos of the product to enquire.
